Dear Fathers, Sisters and Brothers,
Peace of the Babe of Bethlehem
Loving greetings from Bishop Jude. We are again to start early Lent in 2012. In spring old frozens give way to new life! Let our harmful and unhealthy attitudes leave us in order to give way to healthy ones.
As reparation for our sinful life, we do a lot penance like fasting, mortifying, etc. But all these, I feel, should motivate us to be faithful to God who has called us through the Sacraments of Baptism and Ordination. We are faithful to the Lord in and through our sharing what God has done for us and for other through us (Ps 40/10) in spite of our infidelity.
He has been ever faithful to his plan and promises from morning to evening by giving us Sun, Stars etc., Are we faithful to him? If we are so, he will then entrust us with more responsibilities (Mt 25/21; Lk 16/10-12) to glorify him by doing immense good to the needy. This happens in day to day life-situations at home and in offices! This attitude will surely help us to get permanent reward (Mk 8/36).
And therefore let us be faithful and trustworthy not only in Lent but throughout our life-time.
May our blessed Mother Mary, who was faithful to her "yes" to the end, enable us to follow her path.
