Peace of the Risen Lord

Dear People of God,

Peace of the Risen Lord.

Loving greetings from Bishop Jude.

The resurrected Jesus before His ascension into heaven left a consoling message with his disciples that he would be with them always. “And know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time” (Matthew 28:20). Above all the many ways He is particularly and truly present in the Holy Eucharist. CCC 1375 reads: “It is by the conversion of bread and wine into Christ’s Body and Blood that Christ becomes present in this Sacrament.”

As the Apostles enjoyed those three years with the Lord telling Him all their experiences of ups and downs as well as various events and meetings with all kinds of people besides the comments and misunderstandings, let us also meet Him and tell Him all our joys, woes and worries. May we say to Him all our problems even if they are not very significant. Is it not a good habit – if possible - to wish Him as we wish our friends at least three times a day and thank Him as He is everything for us and for whose sake we have left everything? How can we not go to visit Him every day as our friend?

This month we celebrate the Divine Mercy Sunday on 8th inst. Through the death and the resurrection of Christ our sins have been forgiven and forgotten. God is ever so good, generous and gracious. According to Mother Angelica, our sins are like drops of water in the ocean of Mercy of God. Let as also forgive each other following the example of our Master who called us “to be merciful as the heavenly Father is merciful” (Lk 6:36). May our heavenly Mother help us in this regard for she embraced all the sinners by letting her son die on the cross. I request your valuable prayers for me. Thank you.

Yours in Jesus,
