About Parish

Considering the needs of the population of St. Xavier's Colony and having sought the advice of the present Parish Priest of Sahaya Matha Church, Jawahar Nagar and Members of the Priests’ Council and considering the salvation of souls, I hereby bifurcate the Parish of Sahaya Matha Church, Jawahar Nagar and erect this new Parish, the Church of St. Antony, St. Xavier's Colony with the rights of a Parish, according to the Code of Canon Law Nos: 515 and 516, i.e. of a juridical personality belonging to the R.C. Diocese of Palayamkottai.

St. Antony, St. Xavier's Colony is now constituted into a new Parish with effect from 10th June, 2012. Rev. Fr. S. Santiago is appointed as its first Parish Priest
